Hebrew Lots
Intuitive explorations for seeking clarity, inspiration, and insights
What are Hebrew Lots?
Hebrew lots readings are a reflective, ritualistic practice where you bring 1-3 questions. Like Celtic runes or the I-Ching, Hebrew Lots draw from rich letter meanings, offering guidance and insights through symbols and stories. Throughout the Torah, divinatory practices like lots, or “purim,” aid in decision-making and consultation.
I was introduced to Hebrew Lots by Wowlvenn Seward-Katzmiller, a therapist rooted in earth-based spirituality and social justice. As an Ashkenazi Jewish woman fascinated by astrology, Tarot, and the intuitive arts, this practice feels authentic and meaningful to me.
In my experience, lots provide clear, straightforward, and actionable guidance. Explore more about divination in ancient Israel, seers’ gifts, ethical considerations, and letter meanings in Hebrew Lots by Elisheva Nesher.
How Readings Work
In one of our session together, we will take a moment to ground in our bodies and invite the field of collective wisdom and Ancestors to support in offering clarity to your question(s) through a Lots reading. Bring a relationship, crossroads, transition, creative block, spiritual question or simply something you can’t stop thinking about.
I’ll draw one or more Hebrew letters and interpret what they illuminate through language, symbolism, number, form, and Jewish mystical tradition.
Shape ✦ Sound ✦ Number ✦ Hebrew roots ✦ Symbolism ✦ Spiritual resonance
You don’t need to know Hebrew or have any background in Jewish mysticism.
Sometimes one letter is enough to shift the whole frame.
And: No question at all is also welcome.
Readings for couples and families are double the rates below. Inquire about gifting a reading.

Hi, I’m Rebecca Esther.
I’ve spent approximately 15 years studying the Hebrew letters, Jewish mysticism, and Kabbalistic symbolism. My practice is informed by Sefer Yetzirah, traditional Hebrew-letter teachings, and mentorship with artist and Hebrew-letter scholar Victoria Hanna. I created a Hebrew Lots set, including the physical set of 22 wooden letters and its companion booklet, as a way of bringing this extraordinary symbolic tradition into a contemporary practice of reflection and intuitive guidance.
My reading style is warm, curious, grounded, and deeply attentive to the question underneath the question. Please reach out for readings or sets and booklets.
